VENUE / BARRANQUILLA

In Barranquilla, where the Magdalena River meets the Caribbean Sea, any street becomes a party. You don’t need to visit during the famous Carnival to see a spontaneous crowd dancing around a makeshift stage to instruments such as drums, maracas, and millet flutes. Here, joy belongs to everyone.
Barranquilla is known as the Golden Gate of Colombia because in the late nineteenth century it served as an entrance into the country for passengers and goods. The capital of the Atlántico is distinguished for the Republican-era architecture in the neighborhood of El Prado, as well as its museums, beaches, and festivals. In the surrounding area, tourists can visit creeks, marshes, and other natural attractions. Museums, historic squares, and lots of music await those who come to Barranquilla.
